These trucks are used all around the world and they've been used for over 30 years, for a great reason â€" they're bulletproof. The Defender is known as the ultimate beach truck for the Hamptons, Nantucket or the like. In the mid 1990's Land Rover USA sold the Defender D90 in dealerships across the country. They were a smash hit but unfortunately only sold for 3 years. 1994, 1995 and 1997. Low mileage examples are getting harder to find.
