Dealer Notes

Lamborghini Paramus is proud to present our 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo. One of Porsche's primary objectives with this new model was to improve fuel economy as well as increase performance. In order to meet these objectives, Porsche introduced a number of new technologies in the 911. One of the most controversial of these is the introduction of electro-mechanical power steering instead of the previous hydraulic steering. This steering helps reduce fuel consumption, but some enthusiasts feel that the precise steering feedback for which the 911 is famous is reduced with the new system. The cars also feature an engine stop/start system which turns the engine off at red lights, as well as a coasting system which allows the engine to idle while maintaining speed on downhill gradients on highways. This allows for up to 16% reduction in fuel consumption and emissions over the outgoing models. The new cars also have a number of technologies aimed at improving handling. The cars include a torque vectoring system which brakes the inner wheel of the car when going into turns. This helps the car to turn in quicker and with more precision. The cars also feature hydraulic engine mounts (which help reduce the inertia of the engine when going into turns) as part of the optional sports chrono package. Active suspension management helps improve ride quality on straights, while stiffening the suspension during aggressive driving. The new 991 is also equipped with a new feature called Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC). Porsche claims that this new feature alone has shaved 4 seconds off the standard car's lap time around the Nrburgring. PDCC helps the car corner flat and is said to improve high-speed directional stability and outright lateral body control, but according to several reviews, the car is more prone to under steer when equipped with this new technology. The 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo has a twin-turbocharged and inter-cooled DOHC 24-valve flat-6, aluminum block and heads, with direct fuel injection producing 540 hp @ 6400 rpm and 523 lb-ft @ 2250 rpm! I've been driving Porsche's for over forty years and have owned numerous variants. Bought this 2013 991 used after selling my trouble free 997 with 103k miles on it. The sticker on this base 991 was 125k, it had everything on it including my beloved ducktail. It had 13k miles on it... I paid 68k. It now has 19k miles hence the review. First, the car is much more of a cruiser, as in GT. Not as visceral as the 997 or 993 but more refined. Quick and nimble but you're still firmly planted in all driving situations... The interior is more in keeping with a pricey sports car vs. the 997. One complaint on the 2013, no back up camera. Seats, radio, auto windscreen, its a ragtop, all well done. I've road tripped this car over 2500 miles driving seven hours on the long days... no real driver fatigue and a pleasure to drive... No mechanical issues... most Porsches don't break, although I had a 996 C4 that suffered the dreaded ims bearing... but no fear here. Find a low mileage used 991... and enjoy the ride

The ‘16 Porsche GTS has 430hp of useable power. The cockpit is modern with fit that feels like a glove when you get in the seat. The external styling is clean and follows the styling cues of the rich 911 history. The rear hips are wide and beautiful. This car can be described as art. From the moment you turn the key, this car will put a smile on your face ear to ear!

I purchased a new 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet and have loved every second of ownership! It's handling, style and performance is awesome. Driving along the ocean with the top down is pure heaven. It's been trouble free since day 1, with all scheduled maintenance performed by Porsche. It is definitely not the lowest cost of ownership, but it's a Porsche!!!
